The 16th hole, a relatively
easy par three, is one of the
most talked about holes on the PGA Tour. The tee box
is surrounded by spectators, who will cheer a good shot
to the green, go wild for a hole-in-one, and will also
boo a poor shot. Fans there can be seen doing the wave,
and generally having a rowdy good time. Some golfers say
it is intimidating. In recent years, liquor sales have
been curtailed at the 16th hole.
