Diana Ross Doesn't Get Special Treatment
Wednesday March 10, 2004
Today Singer Diana Ross was ordered back to Arizona to serve her sentence after having been convicted of extreme DUI in Tucson. She had tried to serve portions of her jail time in Connecticut, but an Arizona judge ruled that she must serve consecutive hours in an Arizona jail just like all other citizens would.
The incident occurred on December 30, 2002. Diana Ross was stopped by Tucson police after she was observed driving on the wrong side of the road. The police report indicates that her blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit in Arizona.
At the Arizona Daily Star's web site, you can see lots of interesting details about the case, including the way in which Diana Ross wrote the alphabet and listed numbers from 1 to 30. (Hint: She didn't do too well!)
