Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Opens "Stage & Go" Lot

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport opened its latest customer service amenity. On September 2, 2004 the airport opened its new Stage & Go Lot, an area where drivers wait in their vehicles, free of charge, while passengers deplane, pick up luggage and walk out to the curb. The lot is located west of the Terminal 2 parking garage, across the street from the Executive Terminal at Sky Harbor.

In 2006 they added a second "Stage & Go" cell phone waiting area on the east side of the Airport, east of Terminal 4. It's just east of the Terminal 4 high profile parking lot.

The Stage & Go Lot offers an alternative to circling the terminals. The first phase of this project includes 90 newly-paved parking spaces and signage with all of the airlines' phone numbers displayed. Upon completion of the second phase of the project, a flight information display board will be installed.

Signs have been installed around Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to direct drivers to the Stage & Go Lot. "Since drivers are not allowed to wait for passengers at the curb, we are happy to offer them this alternative," says Janice Jacobo, Landside Operations Superintendent for Sky Harbor. "The Stage & Go lot is easy to find, simple to use, and best of all, free of charge." In 2008, they changed the name of the Stage & Go lots to Cell Phone Waiting Lots.
