Never Enough Art Shows in Scottsdale

Everyone knows that Scottsdale is a place for art lovers. From the permanent galleries on Marshall Way to the traveling art shows that cater to the upscale winter visitors, January through March is the time for art shows. Whether you are just looking, or you're a serious collector, or you just want to purchase your own first piece of real art, you'll find a variety of worthwhile events.

Aside from the standard annual shows, this year a special event called ARTscottsdale will exhibit abstract contemporary and modern realism from some of the most prominent national and international galleries. The fine art on display and for sale at ARTscottsdale will reflect diverse mediums including photography and sculpture. ARTscottsdale is organized by Art & Antiques magazine.

ARTscottsdale Details

Dates: March 23-26, 2006
Location: WestWorld, 16601 N. Pima Road
Schedule:
Friday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cost: Admission charge will be $10 and will include a full-color catalog with gallery information and images of the artwork. Three-day passes are $25. Phoenix Art Museum members receive a $2 discount. Ages 17 and under free. Tickets will be available at the door.
