Phoenix Suns Victorious

Tuesday May 23, 2006
Phoenix Suns The theme of tonight's game was Win or Go Home, and the Phoenix Suns aren't going home just yet. They beat the Los Angeles Clippers at the US Airways Center by a score of 127-107. Seven players on the Suns' team were in double fugures tonight, led by--who else--Steve Nash with 29. The Phoenix Suns will now move on to compete against Steve Nash's former team, the Dallas Mavericks, led by Steve's buddy Dirk Nowitzki, for the Western Conference Championships. The winning team of that series will go on to meet the winner of the Detroit/Miami matchup in the NBA Finals.

The Suns have had two tough series so far, both against Los Angeles teams and both going to the maximum 7 games. In this series against the Clippers, neither of the two teams won back-to-back games, giving the Suns the home-court advantage in game 7. The Clippers' Elton Brand is a great player, and can do it all, but it takes more than one star to have a big game at this stage of the competition.

So what about the next round? All I can say is that last year in the playoffs, the Suns beat the Mavericks in 6 games. I'm hoping for a similar result!

If you've finally decided to break down and get tickets for the playoffs, the Phoenix Suns have issued a warning about a ticket scam that's going around. Those tickets that you can print from your computer are very convenient, but if you buy one of those from a ticket exchange or from a seller on Ebay or on a street corner somewhere, you have no idea how many times it has been photocopied. The general rule is that the first time those computer printed tickets have been scanned at the entrance is the last--anyone holding another ticket with the same scan code will be out of luck.

Check the Phoenix Suns Official site for ticket information for the next series, or find out more about ticket scalping and ticket brokers.

(1) J Cobb says:

While it may be nice to warn about ticket “scams” involving Ticketfast tickets that can be printed out on your own computer, it should be noted that if you purchase your tickets from a reputable ticket broker you can be assured that any Ticketfast tickets that you receive will be legitimate tickets. Any reputable broker will also guarantee the authenticity of the tickets that they sell.

Ticketfast (print at home) tickets are very convenient and offer many advantages including last minute delivery. Just make sure to buy your tickets from a reputable broker and not just some strange guy on a street corner.
