Firecrackers and Sparklers in AZ

Wednesday June 14, 2006
Sparkler Planning a 4th of July get-together with some neighbors and friends? I know that when I was a kid, we all got together at Joey's house, because his Dad always had fireworks. We weren't allowed to set off any bottle rockets or anything like that, but we did have firecrackers, and, of course, plenty of sparklers. If you are planning a similar party to entertain the neighborhood kids, you might not be aware that fireworks--and that includes sparklers--are illegal in Arizona. There are so many fireworks displays around the Valley, that you really don't have to have your own.

Give me a break! In this state one can carry a firearm exposed but you cant light a sparkler? I believe common sense, more like the lack of, should be illegal!
