Most Expensive Zip Codes in Arizona

Thursday June 22, 2006
Did you just come into a lot of money? Did you just sell your home in Seattle or Santa Barbara for about 800% more than you paid for it years ago? If you are considering buying an expensive home here in the Phoenix area, you can certainly find many, and you'd have no problem spending millions on it. But if you are looking for a neighborhood that has a concentration of high priced homes, there are two that you should focus on: 85253 and 85262.

According to Forbes, those are the only two zip codes in Arizona that made the list of the top 500 most expensive zip codes in the U.S. in 2005. At a rank of 122, zip code 85253 in Paradise Valley showed an average home price of $965,000. At a rank of 390, zip code 85262 in Scottsdale had an average home price of $715,000.

Seven of the most expensive zip codes in the country are in California, two are in New York, and one is in Florida.
