In Search of Cows

Phoenix I've been a little sad since Dugan's Dairy Farm in Chandler stopped giving tours. When I'm in that neighborhood, I can still see the cows (although I fear they will soon be gone like all the other agricultural property giving way to development) and I wave to them, but it isn't the same as getting up close and personal. So I went in search of cows.

Boy, did I find cows. I went out to Stanfield, Arizona where Shamrock Farms, a family-owned Arizona company, keeps all those cows that make their brand of milk, sour cream, cottage cheese, milk shakes, and more. Of course, they keep the cottage cheese cows separate from the strawberry milk shake cows....And they give tours, too--how cool is that?

You say you want cows?! Well besides Shamrock’s great tour there is another farm who opened their corrals to the public now that Dugan Farm has moooved further away from the Valley.
