Ongoing Special Events and Clinics
The Topps Super Bowl XLII Card Show will take place through the duration of the event. Fans can obtain free autographs at the Topps Autograph Stage by as many as 50 NFL stars from the past and present. Additionally, fans can purchase collectibles and trading cards from a variety of team dealers located within the Card Show area.
Coaches Chats with current and former NFL coaches will take place at the NFL Locker Room on Saturday, Jan. 26, 5-6 p.m. (Sam Wyche); Sunday, Jan. 27, 3-4 p.m. (Sam Wyche); Thursday, Jan. 31, 5-6 p.m. (Jim Fassel); Friday, Feb. 1, 5-6 p.m. (Jim Fassel) and Saturday, Feb. 2, 1-2 p.m. and 3-4 p.m. (Ken Whisenhut). Fans have the opportunity to get their questions answered and learn about some tough decisions during the season during these interactive discussions.
Referee Clinics hosted by an official NFL referee will take place at the NFL Locker Room on Thursday, Jan. 31, 7-8 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 1, 7-8 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 2, 2-3 p.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m. Fans have the chance to get their questions answered and learn about the life of an NFL referee during these instructional clinics.
NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick Clinics will take place at the Gatorade Clinic Field on Friday, Feb. 1, 6:30-7:30 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 2, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Open to boy and girls ages 8-12, the instructional clinics focus on the core skills essential to the game of football - punting, passing and kicking.
USA Football Clinics will take place on the Gatorade Clinic Field on Thursday, Jan. 31, 8-9 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, 5-6 p.m. and 8-9 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 2, 1-2 p.m., 4-5 p.m. and 8:30-9:30 p.m. Designed for boys and girls ages 8-12, USA Football will allow young fans to have a taste of what prospects experience during the NFL Combine at Indianapolis during the clinics.
NFL FLAG Clinics will take place at the Gatorade Clinic Field on Thursday, Jan. 31, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, 9:15-10 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 2, 7-8 p.m. Designed for boys and girls ages 8-12, the instructional clinics will introduce young fans to various NFL FLAG football skills using the element of continuous play.
Youth Referee Clinics will take place at the Gatorade Clinic Field on Thursday, Jan. 31, 6:30-7:30 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 1, 3:30-4:30 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 2, 5:30-6:30 p.m. Designed for boys and girls ages 8-12, the instructional clinics are hosted by an official NFL supervisor and will introduce young fans to the basic penalties and hand signals that are used during actual NFL games in a fun and entertaining way.
3-A-Day Mini Clinics will take place at the 3-A-Day of Dairy Kids’ Zone on Saturday, Jan. 26, 1-2 p.m. and 5-6 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 27, 1-2 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m.; Thursday, Jan. 31, 7-8 p.m.; Friday, Feb. 1, 3-4 p.m. and 7-8 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 2, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and 4:30-5:30 p.m. The clinics are designed to empower children to be advocates of healthy eating by including three servings a day of milk, cheese or yogurt in their diet. The clinics also encourage kids to exercise at least 60 minutes a day by incorporating football skills and drills into their daily routine. In addition, a 3-A-Day Kids’ Clinic will take place at the Gatorade Clinic Field on Saturday, Feb. 2, 10-11 a.m.
Football 101 Clinics will take place in the NFL Locker Room on Saturday, Jan. 26, 6-7 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 27, 5-6 p.m.; Thursday, Jan. 31, 6-7 p.m., and Friday, Feb. 1, 6-7 p.m. Hosted by NFL players, the clinics will include instruction about the fundamentals of football and practice drills.
Player Readings will take place at the 3-A-Day of Dairy Kids’ Zone on Saturday, Jan. 26, 3-4 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 27, 3-4 p.m.; Thursday, Jan. 31, 5:30-6:30 p.m.; and Friday, February 1, 4-5 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m. A variety of NFL players will read to children and adults of all age.
At Sprint Phone-A-Friend, fans can stop by the Special Events Stage for the chance to have an NFL star call a friend or family member. Phone calls will take place Thursday, Jan. 31, 4-6 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, 4-6 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 2, Noon-6 p.m.
McFarlane Toys, producers of limited edition Sports Picks figures available at The NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot, once again will offer a football action figure for purchase. This year’s event exclusive figure will be of Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. The figure is limited to 5,000 in quantity, and is available exclusively at the Topps Super Bowl XLII Card Show starting Saturday, Jan. 26. The figure will sell for $15.
The Vince Lombardi Trophy, hand crafted by Tiffany & Co., will be on display at the NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot beginning Saturday, Jan. 26.
Build-A-Bear Workshop ® on Tour will visit the NFL Experience throughout the duration of the event. Similar to the bear-making process in mall-based stores, guests will have fun making a stuffed animal at their favorite family events.
U.S. Air Force “Do Something Amazing” Tour provides fans with an inside peek at the world of the U.S. Air Force as they fight on battlefields overseas, operate space satellites, defend cyberspace and safeguard the skies. The “Do Something Amazing” Tour showcases the U.S. Air Forces’ unveils once-in-a-lifetime simulations, interactive thrill rides, video games and high-tech elements that give visitors a peek inside the world of the Airmen, and also will feature daily appearances by current NFL stars.

Hosted by the Arizona Competitive Youth Football League, the ACYFL Football Clinics will take place at the Gatorade Clinic Field from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Participants will receive the basic training to develop strength, speed and conditioning, and maximum football strength to dominate each position battle. All activities will engage boys and girls ages 8-12 in a fun, yet competitive environment.
The Super Bowl XLII Cheerleading Spirit Clinic will take place at the Gatorade Clinic Field from 1-3 p.m. and the Super Bowl Cheer and Dance/Drill Competition will follow from 4-6 p.m. One thousand young women from local schools (grades 5-12) will enjoy a day of positive competition and experience the excitement of the Super Bowl firsthand at a free event designed specifically for them. The young women will learn football fundamentals, teamwork, cheering skills and dance techniques. NFL coaches and players will teach football basics, while Arizona Cardinals cheerleaders and the New Orleans Saintsations cheerleaders will join local college cheer teams to teach cheer skills and dance techniques.
Cheerleaders of Life will speak about the importance of getting a good education, living drug-free and striving to achieve dreams. (This event is open to pre-selected guests only).
The Fifth Annual Cheer and Dance/Drill Competition will provide teams from local Arizona junior high, high school and All-Star squads the opportunity to enjoy a day of positive competition. Cheer teams will compete for trophies in junior high, high school, All-Star and co-ed divisions. Dance/drill teams will compete in categories such as Jazz, High Kick and Pom Pom. Kids Day will take place at the NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two thousand Arizona-area children will have the opportunity to enjoy a day at The NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot all to themselves. While the NFL Experience will be closed to the public, the kids will enjoy all of the features of the theme park plus added bonuses like player appearances. Kids will learn more about the importance of healthy living during Kids Day as part of NFL Play 60, aimed at helping youngsters get 60 minutes of exercise each day. Some lucky Phoenix schoolchildren who entered the NFL Play 60: Arizona contest will be special guests at Kids Day. (Please note: This event is not open to the public. A brief press conference featuring NFL players, NFL dignitaries and others, as well as a musical performance will begin at 1 p.m.)
The NFL has teamed with Telemundo Network and Coors Light to present Tazon Latino II, the second nationally televised flag football game between former NFL players and Latino celebrities. The event will take place from 7-10 p.m. and will air nationally on Telemundo on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. ET.

NFLX After Dark will make its late-night debut and take place throughout the NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot from 9 p.m. to midnight. The inaugural event creates an ideal opportunity for fans to combine football and nightlife, as they will have the chance to enjoy more than 50 interactive games and displays into the late-night hours. In addition to the exciting NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot attractions and live entertainment, food and drinks will be available for purchase. Highlighting the event will be a cheerleading competition, drum line and music spun by a live D.J. in a club-like environment. Admission to NFLX After Dark is complimentary with Pepsi Smash Concert Tickets.

Through the assistance of the NFL, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America will grant the wishes of 12 children to attend Super Bowl XLII. The children and their families will be guests of the NFL at the NFL Experience Built By The Home Depot.

NFLRUSH Zone (NFLRZ) Arts & Crafts Activity will take place at the 3-A-Day of Dairy Kids’ Zone from 2-4 p.m. In the “Draw Your Own NFLRush Zone Characters” session, graphics artists who built the NFLRZ (designed for kids and teens ages 6-15) will lead kids and parents in a drawing session. Fans can draw any characters they like by using visual references of existing characters as a guide. Once finished, participants can submit their drawings to the workshop leaders, and the NFLRZ team will decide which drawings to post on www.NFLRUSH.com (the NFL’s official website for kids) and/or inside the NFLRZ world in the future. Some drawings may even be turned into actual NFLRZ characters down the road, and both sites will make sure to credit all participants for their designs and inspirations should they be posted.
Girls NFL FLAG Clinic will take place at the Gatorade Clinic Field from 2:30-3:30 p.m. For the first time in NFL Experience history, the NFL will host an all girls NFL Flag clinic taught by female professional football players. The NFL has invited 50 girls from an underserved area in Glendale, Ariz., to learn the basic skills of NFL FLAG football, such as flag pulling, catching and agility through small three-on-two scrimmages. (Note: This is a closed clinic, but fans are invited to watch.)
Super Bowl Auction will take place at the Special Events Stage from 6-7 p.m. The live NFL auction will showcase approximately 50 high-end items, including game-worn items from Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo and San Diego Chargers Running Back LaDainian Tomlinson, as well as the second-half kickoff ball and game coin from Super Bowl XLI in Miami
