Free Shots For Phoenix Kids
Saturday, July 19, 2008. The City of Phoenix is sponsoring the annual "Back to School and Health Fair" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Carl Hayden High School, 3333 W. Roosevelt Ave. in Phoenix. The Back-to-School and Health Fair provides young people with free immunizations, physical and dental check-ups, free backpacks and a free haircut. The Back to School fair is produced by the city’s Latino Institute. At the Fair families can obtain information on after-school programming, domestic violence, education, finance and immigration, nutrition, water safety and finance, and other valuable community resources. A panel discussion about challenges affecting the Latino community will cap off the event. For additional information call the Latino Institute at 602-261-8055.
Saturday, August 2, 2008. Maricopa County Department of Public Health has partnered with 5 Valley cities to offer back to school immunizations from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Bring all your child's immunization records to one of the following locations:
- Chandler High School, 350 N. Arizona Avenue (Arizona Ave and Chandler Blvd)
- Mesa Immunization Clinic, 423 N Country Club Drive (Country Club and University)
- Independence High School, 6602 N 75th Avenue (75th Ave and Glendale)
- Sunrise Mountain High School, 21200 N 83rd Avenue (83rd Ave and Deer Valley)
- Roosevelt Immunization Clinic, 1645 E Roosevelt (16th St and Roosevelt)
- Central High School, 4525 North Central, (Central and Campbell)
