What: Fundred Dollar Bill Project Finale

Live music, light refreshments, museum tours, and special performance by ASU students. This is your last chance to create your Fundred before the armored car comes to collect the Arizona Fundreds at 10 a.m. Make a Fundred (your original creation of a $100 bill) by downloading a template online or getting one at the Museum. Fundreds from around the country will be delivered together to Washington, D.C. where Congress will be asked to match those Fundreds for real dollars to clean up lead-polluted soils in New Orleans.

What: Emergency Preparedness Classes
When: Thursdays, February 25 - April 8, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Where: Avondale Fire Station 172, 1825 N. 107th Avenue, Avondale
C.E.R.T. stands for Community Emergency Response Team and is a national initiative aimed at training members of the community in basic disaster preparedness, first aid, and light search and rescue. The free training series consists of seven sessions on Thursday nights, starting February 25. A mock disaster drill will be held on the final evening. Sessions are held from 6 to 10 p.m. at . Registration is required. This program is open to both residents and non-residents in the community. Participants must be 18 or older. Graduates of the course will receive a fully equipped C.E.R.T. preparedness bag, complete with items such as reflective vest, helmet, flashlight, safety glasses, dust mask, and work gloves.

What: 100th anniversary of the Little Red Schoolhouse

Where: Little Red Schoolhouse (now known as the Scottsdale Historical Museum) on Scottsdale Civic Center Mall
The annual commemoration of Scottsdale founder Army Chaplain Winfield Scott's birthday brings special meaning this year as residents also celebrate the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the Little Red Schoolhouse. The original dedication a century ago was one of the last public acts Winfield Scott attended before he passed away later in 1910. Noted local historians will be present. Where: Gallery at Tempe Center for the Arts
The life and work of Chuck Jones, who brought to life the animated characters Bugs Bunny, Road Runner, Elmer Fudd and Pepe lePew, will be featured in this exhibition. The public opening will be from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 26 with a free, ticketed film night starting at 7:30 p.m. Craig Kausen, Jones' grandson and representative of the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity, will introduce short films created by Jones and share personal stories about his grandfather. Tickets will be available at the door. A Family Creativity Day featuring free hands-on projects for children is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 27 in the TCA Gallery and Sculpture Garden.
What: Spring Training Fever
When: Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Main Library, 64 E. First St., Mesa
Children ages 5 to 12 they can participate in the free "Play Ball!" event. Baseball crafts, puzzles and a short movie, "Spring Training Baseball: A Treasure for Arizona" will be shown. Door prizes.
What: IHOOPS Skills Challenge
When: Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Where: Longview Recreation Center, 4040 North 14th Street, Phoenix (southeast corner of 14th Street and Indian School Road)
Boys and girls from 9 to 14 years of age are eligible to participate in this basketball skills competition. The skills competition provides participants an opportunity to showcase their basketball talents in a time-based, half court obstacle course. First place winners will advance to one of twenty-nine regional competitions occurring in NBA team markets across the country with the possibility of advancing to the National Finals in Orlando, Florida. Participants may register the day of the event and must bring a copy of their birth certificate with a completed registration/waiver form. A copy of the registration/waiver form is available online.
What: Tempe History Museum Grand Reopening
When: Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Campus of Culture, 809 E. Southern Ave., Tempe
Free food and live entertainment will be available, including multicultural music and dance. Arizona's official State Historian, Marshall Trimble, will present stories and songs, and children will be able to enjoy make-and-take art activities and a visit from Arizona State University Mascot Sparky. Visitors will be able to tour the newly renovated museum which includes a Children's Gallery, featuring a theater-type space and a number of interactive activities for kids.
What: Artistry Workshop for Adults and Teens
When: Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Foothills Branch Library, 19055 N. 57th Ave., Glendale
Jingling Necklaces of the Middle East. A Bedouin woman's jewelry is her treasure. It is a walking bank account, which can be used as currency in markets, and its jingling symbolizes protection and status. Participants will create musical necklaces, with bells, glass, and metal beads. Instructed by Christy Puetz.
