PayPal Comes To Chandler

In 2002 eBay, the popular online auctions company, purchased PayPal a popular online payment system. Not only can you pay for items purchased through eBay with PayPal, but you might use PayPal for many other payment situations, especially in those cases where you don't want to have to provide personal information, account numbers or credit card numbers to strangers.

One of my contacts who keeps her eye on the local job market, Jennifer Carpenter with Jobing.com, has good news for customer service professionals around the valley who are looking for work. PayPal is leasing a building near the Loop 202 and Price Road/Loop 101 in Chandler close to Chandler Fashion Center to house additional operations this fall. The company opened its first area facility in Scottsdale during 2006. About 300 eBay and PayPal employees already work in that spot, but the company needs to expand as it continues to hire more customer services workers.

The building address is 1240 S. Price Road. Although PayPal is not physically in the building yet (don't try to knock on the door to apply for a job), they are accepting applications online for positions at the new facility. Check here to see if one of those positions is just right for you. You might also want to attend the Career Fair where PayPal will be interviewing on the spot for more than 100 positions that will be located in Chandler. Here are the details about the Career Fair:
When: Saturday, August 28, 2010 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Hilton Hotel, 2929 West Frye Road, Chandler
What: Bring 2 copies of your resume and be prepared to interview
