Over the years I have received quite a few emails that are similar to this one:
In March of this year, people began getting the answers to their questions. Renovations that have taken place over several years have progressed to the extent that public tours of the place are now being offered. I took the tour in June, so now I can tell you what that place is all about and how you can take the tour and get all the details for yourself. I also took several photos of the property and the tour.
"Recently, I rode the light rail from mesa into phoenix- enjoyed it. Was riding on washington, west of 56th street and saw this odd building- not marked as a home or office or....? So it was interesting looking enough that I thought you might know what it is or where I could find out more about it."Sometimes people describe the building to me as the one that looks like a wedding cake or a birthday cake. Sometimes they mention that they can see it from from the Red Mountain freeway, SR202. However described, it has intrigued many a passerby for years. Even people who knew what it was didn't really know much about it. That includes me! Is it private property? Is it a museum? Is it a tomb?
