In a change of pace for local culinary festivals, the Taste of Cave Creek has adjusted their schedule this year. Instead of being a daytime weekend event -- there are so many weekend, family-oriented activities at this time of year -- they have moved their food and wine event to mid-week and made it an evening affair. I think that's a great idea! Looking for a date night opportunity? Whether you have been together for decades or just met last week, this kind of casual, tasting event makes it easy to enjoy being out together. You'll always have something to talk about -- the food!
Unlike some of the other food, beer or wine festivals in town, this one has space, places to relax, and, if past experience is any indication, you won't have to battle crowds of hundreds to get every sample. I hate all that pushing and shoving for bites of food. Not that I do that. Really, I don't. But some people do.
Put on your cowboy hat, jeans, boots and spurs, leave the kids at home and head to Taste of Cave Creek on Wednesday, October 17 and Thursday, October 18, 2012 where all the participating restaurants are local to Cave Creek and Carefree. Check out some pictures from last year's Taste of Cave Creek.
