Last week I came up with some ideas for gift-giving that could be ordered online that had the added feature of supporting local businesses. Several of those were food-related, and I know that I have already pretty much had my fill of cookies and chocolates. So, my focus this week is on recreation. Arizona State Parks Pass

"An Arizona State Parks Standard or Premium Annual Pass is a great gift for yourself or a friend. All proceeds from the Gift Catalog directly support Arizona State Parks."

Any two individuals may put their names on the pass. The Standard Annual Pass allows day-use access at all Arizona State Parks for pass holder and up to three additional adults in the same vehicle, with the exception of weekends (Friday-Sunday) and state holidays from April 1st to October 31st at the River Parks (Lake Havasu, Cattail Cove, Buckskin Mountain, and River Island). The pass does not allow the use of camping facilities, and additional fees may apply for attractions at the park. It's good for one year. $75 plus $5 handling charge.

Arizona Renaissance Festival

You can order General Admission tickets and they will be good for any day that the Arizona Renaissance Festival is open (weekends and President's Day). Your gift recipient can choose their own date to attend. Tickets for The Pleasure Feast must be purchased for a specific date and time. Parking at the event is free.

  • Print out the tickets and have them mailed to you to send to the lucky gift recipient, or forward the email to them with the ticket link.
