One of our very own will be trying to win a million bucks on the next season of The Amazing Race. This will be the 6th season of the popular reality TV show, where pairs of people are sent on a competitive adventure around the world. The first pair to complete the trip wins the cool million.

Kris Perkins and Jon Buehler make up one of the 11 teams that will be competing this season. They are dating, although Kris lives in Long Beach, California and Jon lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. They met at the bar where Jon is a working partner.

Jon Buehler is 29 years old, and lists his hobbies as snowboarding, surfing, and water polo. His bio indicates that he is "a member of the Arizona Masters Water Polo team" but I have been unable to find him on any swim team roster online. I also haven't yet been able to determine which bar Jon is associated with. Do you know? Send me an email!

The Amazing Race 6 will premiere on CBS on November 16, 2004. It will be a two hour show on the first night. You can read more about Jon Buehler at the Official CBS web site.

UPDATE: An About Phoenix visitor emailed to let me know that the bar in question is Six at 7310 E Stetson Drive in Scottsdale, and that they are even having a premiere party to celebrate Jon and Kris' participation on the show.
