Super Bowl Saturday Night is a free outdoor event for the public where the NFL will count down the hours to the Super Bowl with a live concert and fireworks spectacular at Tempe Town Lake. The date is Saturday, February 2, 2008. The event will include live musical performances, headlined by Counting Crows, and appearances by NFL players, capped off by the Super Bowl Fireworks Spectacular.

Many of the streets surrounding Mill Avenue will be closed to through traffic, and more than 5,000 public parking spaces will be available in the Mill Avenue District. Use the following information about street closures, access, and parking in the Mill Avenue District to get around Tempe on that day.

Street Closures

All streets should re-open by 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2008.

The following streets will close at approximately 7 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2008: Mill Avenue Bridges in both directions

The following streets will close at approximately 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2008:

Mill Avenue north of 2nd St to Curry Road in both directions
Ash Avenue closed at 2nd Street in both directions
Rio Salado closed from Hardy to just east of Mill Avenue

No Parking Is Permitted On These Tempe Streets

Ash Avenue north 3rd Street starting at 2 p.m.
Mill Avenue north of 3rd Street after 2 p.m.
