Many popular events take place during the year in and around downtown Tempe, which includes Tempe Town Lake and Tempe Beach Park. The Family Fest is an inflatable village with rides, activities, rock climbing wall and more. Special kid's entertainment includes face painters, relay races and other specialty entertainment. Splash Playground will be open. The Main Stage features local live entertainment. The 40-minute Fireworks Show will be shot from the Mill Avenue Bridge and choreographed to patriotic and classical music. Food and beverages are available for purchase.Tickets are also available for the Big Earl’s BBQ VIP Garden for $60 each, children ages 5-12, $30 each, plus service charge. Children younger than 5 years old are free, but do not receive a meal. Ticket includes a seat with a great view of the fireworks show in a misted area, a barbecue dinner (slow smoked & roasted pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw, Big Earl’s Famous BBQ chicken all served with Memphis style baked beans, sweet summer watermelon) and 2 drink tickets for beer (if 21 or older), soda or water. Limited tickets available.

What does it cost?
Children 12 and under are free. Entry is free for anyone showing a current military ID. Tickets will be on sale through July 4, 2011 at all Fry’s stores for $6 each. Tickets will be $8 at the gate or $15 for two (until sold out). People with current military ID are admitted free.Are there any other discounts available?
You can get $5 advance tickets at various City of Tempe locations through July 3, 2011. You can get $5 advance tickets at Fry’s and Fry’s Marketplace stores (June 4th until noon on July 4th). Advance general admission tickets are $6 each when purchased through www.ProTixonline.com or at 1-866-9ProTix but a service charge will be added. Tens of thousands of people attend this celebration. First come first serve on lawn seating. Blankets, portable chairs, personal cameras, small umbrellas welcome. No pets. No food or coolers. Only manufacturer's sealed containers of water (1 gallon / per person) allowed, no other food or beverage. No skates, skateboards or bicycles. No pets. The use of Consumer Fireworks is illegal in the City of Tempe. The use of novelty fireworks including sparklers are prohibited inside Tempe Beach Park.What if I have more questions?
