  • Jazz in the Garden
    Concerts are on Ullman Terrace at Desert Botanical Garden. Must be 21 years or older to attend concert. Ticket price includes Garden admission. Advance ticket purchase recommended.

    Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. Find celebrations in Arizona.

  • McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park Free Concerts
    Scottsdale. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy a variety of music from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Train and carousel rides are available during all concerts for a small charge.

  • Miss Arizona Pageant
    During the last week of June you can see some of the brightest and most talented young ladies in the state compete for the Miss Arizona crown. The winner will get to represent Arizona at the Miss America Pageant.

  • Miss Asia Arizona Pageant
    Showcasing Arizona's young Asian women who represent their Asian culture, beauty, intelligence and talent. The winner will represent Arizona at the Miss Asian America Pageant.

  • Moonlight Movies
    The City of Phoenix shows free movies at Steele Indian School Park in central Phoenix. Moonlight Movies start at sunset and are free to the public. Call for info 602-495-0739.

  • Movies at the Museum
    Phoenix Art Museum. Independent and classic cinema and documentaries relating to art, artists, and works on view in the Museum, usually followed by discussion. Free with paid museum admission. First come, first seated.

  • Movies in the Park
    Classic Disney and Pixar movies will be shown at Pacana Park in Mariccopa. Bring your own snacks and a blanket and enjoy the show. Snacks will alsobe available to purchase. All movies are free and begin at dusk. Call for info 520-316-6961.

  • Music on Mill
    A showcase of local musicians performing on the streets. Musicians and performers, covering various musical genres, will activate public space and give visitors a positive, unique experience. Musicians at Music on Mill can be identified by branded donation paint cans that will be placed at each of their locations. The public is encouraged to donate towards performances so musicians return week after week. Mill Avenue District, Tempe from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Phoenix Mercury WNBA Basketball
    The women of the Phoenix Mercury play professional basketball at the US Airways Center.

  • Phoenix Pet Expo
    Bringing trainers, groomers, rescues, shelters, vets, clinics, pet stores, retailers, hobbyist groups, and societies together to educate, demonstrate, and perform for Phoenix pet lovers. Demonstrations, special guests, agility trials, adoptions and a pet fashion show. University of Phoenix Stadium.

  • Scottsdale ArtWalk
    Every Thursday evening the Scottsdale Art District invites you to spend a casual evening walking downtown and enjoying fine art. Free.

  • Smooth Jazz the Kasbah
    Smooth Jazz the Kasbah from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A new jazz performance each week at the InterContinental Montelucia Resort & Spa Kasbah pool.     All concerts are free and start at 8 p.m. Glendale Amphitheater in downtown Glendale. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Bring a lawn chair or blanket. No pets.

  • WaterDance Film Festival
    A different movie each week will play on a giant 30-by-50-foot, high-definition, LED screen in WaterDance Plaza. Bring blankets and chairs. Movies begin at 8 p.m. Westgate City Center, Glendale.

  • Wet 'n' Wild Water Day
    Chaparral Pool in Scottsdale. Kids can cool down and participate in outrageous activities including sandcastle building, sponge wars and unique relays. Admission is free.
