  • Mighty Mud Mania
    Activities for 6 and younger and 7 to 17. The younger group can enjoy the mini mud course, mini waterslide, mud pit, sand castle building and an area dubbed “Mudville.” Older children can try the original mud obstacle course, sandcastle building and mud pits. Scottsdale.

  • Miss Arizona Pageant
    During the last week of June you can see some of the brightest and most talented young ladies in the state compete for the Miss Arizona crown. The winner will get to represent Arizona at the Miss America Pageant.

  • Miss Asia Arizona Pageant
    Showcasing Arizona's young Asian women who represent their Asian culture, beauty, intelligence and talent. The winner will represent Arizona at the Miss Asian America Pageant.

  • Miss Gay Arizona Pageant
    The event honors the art of female impersonation and features the crowning of the Miss Gay Arizona America. Tempe Center for the Arts.

  • MiLB Rookie League Baseball
    Minor League Baseball. Teams primarily consist of players from the Dominican Republic and drafted high school and college players from the MLB June Draft. Major league players often play in these games for their first rehab assignments. Free admission.

  • Montelucia Summer Concert Series

    The streets of downtown Mesa are closed to all but bikers and people who love motorcycles. Music, food, beer garden. Free admission.

    Guided night hike along the darkened trails of the Zoo and find out what sort of silly antics the "animals" are up to when no one is around. Water fun, train rides, music and games. Phoenix Zoo.

  • Summer Family Night at the Museum
    Families take a specially designed kid-friendly tour of the current exhibition. After the tour, Family Night attendees can go out to the nearby Scottsdale Civic Center Mall for creative fun and live music. Bring kids’ swimsuits and towels for splashing in the outdoor fountains and giant bubble play. Pre-registration required. Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art.

  • Summer Splash

  • Valley of the Sun Juneteenth Celebration
    Local musical performers, community groups and schools. Educational workshops, children’s activities, ethnic arts and crafts, vendors, games, a poetry contest and authentic Soul food.

  • Westgate Bike Night
    Hundreds of bikes line Coyotes Boulevard. Entertainment, deals and discounts from Westgate merchants. All riders are welcome. You don’t have to have a bike to attend. Thursdays 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Free admission. Westgate City Center, Glendale.

  • Westgate WaterDance Film Festival
    A different movie each week will play on a giant 30-by-50-foot, high-definition, LED screen in WaterDance Plaza. Pre-movie events. Bring blankets and chairs. Movies begin at 7:30 p.m. Westgate City Center, Glendale.
