  • Gila Bend Desert Shrimp Festival
    Cooking contest, shrimp eating contest, shrimp coloring contest, bobbing for shrimp, kids sand castle building contest, live entertainment, arts & craft vendors.

  • Glendale Glitters Spectacular
    Glendale's kick-off to the holiday season. A million lights, music, fireworks, crafts, train rides, Santa and more.

  • Glendale Glitters Holiday Lights
    Glendale, Arizona and Arizona Public Service put on a hometown display of 1.5 million lights over 12 blocks.

  • Glendale's Live at the Library
    Musical entertainment every Thursday night from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Main Library at 5959 W. Brown St. Concerts are free. Call 623-930-3573 for more details.

  • Grand Prix Arizona
    Champ Car racing in the streets of downtown Phoenix. These cars will be traveling at speeds of about 180 mph. The three day event includes live entertainment , and expo and other activities for all ages.

  • Great Cajun Cook-Off
    Sponsored by the Phoenix Chapter of the Louisiana State University Alumni Association. Features cooks and restaurants competing for the title of “Best in the West” gumbo and jambalaya. Competitors will bring their gumbo/jambalaya to the event already prepared and ready to serve in “tastes”. Live music, children's activities. Heritage Park, Phoenix. All Proceeds benefit the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity and local scholarship program.

  • Heard Museum Spanish Market
    Nearly 70 of the Southwest's best Hispanic artists will show and sell their work at the annual Heard Museum Spanish Market. Artwork includes an array of santos, furniture, jewelry, tilework, glitter art, tinwork, paintings, carvings, pottery and more. Admission is free.

  • Holiday Art and Music Festival
