  • International Gem & Jewelry Show
    A trade show at the Phoenix Convention Center in downtown Phoenix. Diamonds, silver, gold, opals, rubies, watches, earrings, necklaces, rings, settings, on-site sizing and repairs.

  • Kidsfaire
    A trade show and family entertainment event. Indoors and air conditioned. Performances, characters, entertainment pavilions, vendors. University of Phoenix Stadium.
    In 2009: September 19, 20

  • LaLaGlendooza - Old MacDonald Had a Farm
    Sponsored by Glendale Parks and Recreation Department. This free toddler (ages 2 - 5) event features farm-themed activities including a tractor play area, barnyard carnival and farmers craft area all held at one of Glendale’s historic ranches, Sahuaro Ranch Park.   • Maricopa County Home and Garden Show
    Hundreds of exhibitors. Seminars, demonstrations, and displays at the Arizona State Fairgrounds.

  • Monarch Butterfly Exhibit
    Marshall Butterfly Pavilion at the Desert Botanical Garden.
    In 2008: September 27 to November 2

  • Movies at the Museum
    Independent and classic cinema and documentaries relating to art, artists, and works on view in the Museum, usually followed by discussion. Free with paid museum admission. First come, first seated. Phoenix Art Museum.

  • Music on Mill
    A showcase of local musicians performing on the streets. Musicians and performers, covering various musical genres, will activate public space and give visitors a positive, unique experience. Musicians at Music on Mill can be identified by branded donation paint cans that will be placed at each of their locations. The public is encouraged to donate towards performances so musicians return week after week. Mill Avenue District, Tempe from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Phoenix Mercury WNBA Basketball
    The women of the Phoenix Mercury play professional basketball at the US Airways Center.

  • Scottsdale ArtWalk
    Every Thursday evening the Scottsdale Art District invites you to spend a casual evening walking downtown and enjoying fine art. Free.
    In 2008: Every Thursday evening

  • So Long To Summer Fest
    Two live bands, a choreographed grand finale fireworks show, a midway with interactive inflatable slides and rides, face painting, climbing walls, attractions for children, teens and adults, a food and beverage court, and sponsor giveaways and booths. Freestone Park Ball Field Complex, Gilbert.

  • Sun Devil Football
    Arizona State University's football team competes for PAC-10 glory at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, AZ.

  • Wild Western Festival
    Several stages of entertainment, western celebrities, western movies, artisans, kids' corral. Pioneer Village.
