Halloween Spooktacular

An evening of safe family fun. Food, games, arts and crafts, costume contests, souvenir photos, and a Haunted House. Everyone is welcome to wear a costume and enter the costume contest and parade.
In 2008: Friday, October 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

GlendOberfest

Historic Sahuaro Ranch, Glendale, Arizona
This free event features carnival-style games, on-site trick or treating, Hallowympics parade, live entertainment, EggHaunt and the “Sinister Sinema” haunted house presented by ASU at the West Campus. Everyone is encouraged to dress up. Bring your unfinished jack-o’-lantern for the pumpkin decorating contest. Special post event concert from 9 to 10 p.m., featuring Arizona’s ultimate KISS Tribute Band - Kissmania! Rock out, dressed up as your favorite KISS band member. Historic Sahuaro Ranch is adjacent to Sahuaro Ranch Park, at 59th Avenue and Mountain View Road.

Queen Creek Trunk or Treat

Desert Mountain Park, 22201 S. Hawes Road

People sign up to host and decorate a trunk. Trunk or Treat provides a safe environment for families to come and enjoy an inexpensive evening of Halloween fun! Children trick-or-treat by going from car trunk to car trunk on “Trunk or Treat Street” to get their bags filled with goodies. The Town of Queen Creek provides all the candy. Other activities include the Bone Garden, Little Goblin Zone (ages 4 and under), Stage Fright, Phantom Fun House and the ‘Howl’oween Canine Costume Contest.

Apache Junction Halloween Festival

Costume contest, pumpkin carving contest (pumpkins must be carved prior to contest). Admission is free. Food and games offered at a minimal fee.

Tempe's Annual Family Halloween Carnival

Kiwanis Park, 6005 S. All-America Way
Tempe, Arizona
Event highlights include costume contests for all ages, carnival games, food, and entertainment.

Halloween Spooktacular Carnival

Town Park (Monroe & 9th St)
Buckeye, AZ
This event features all kinds of goulish fun including the creepy carnival games, crazy car rides, petting zoo, face painting, mad bingo, and the haunted “Maze of Mayhem”. Bring your finished jack-o-lantern for a jack-o-lantern carving contest at 7 p.m. A costume contest begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are 50¢ each. Games and food are 1 - 6 tickets each. All proceeds will benefit local non-profit groups that will be running the booths.

Arizona Broadway Theatre Halloween Costume Party

7701 West Paradise Lane, Peoria
Arizona Broadway Theatre (ABT) is offering a Halloween party in its lobby. Open to the public, this event includes holiday food, a costume contest, a live cabaret with the cast of ABT's mainstage production of the hit musical CABARET and their friends, and ABT's cash bar will be open. Cost: $5 donation.

Ghost Ball Halloween Block Party

The streets of downtown Scottsdale come alive the Saturday before Halloween as Valley VIPs and celebrities join an expected 10,000 guests at Axis/Radius (7340 E. Indian Plaza) and Suede (7333 E. Indian Plaza) nightclubs’ annual “Ghost Ball” Halloween block party. The entire block of Indian Plaza located between Buckboard and Saddlebag will be transformed into a stylish scare-fest and an all-night All Hallows Eve celebration. Tickets start at $20 and advanced ticket purchases are recommended. 21 and older only.

Great Pumpkin Race and Festival Saturday

A 5K Great Pumpkin Run and 1 Mile Mini Pumpkin Family & Pet Fun Run in costume. Prize for Best Costume for children, adults, and pets. The DJ will get participants amped up for the race, playing your favorite tunes all day long. Children’s activities including a bouncer, face painter, and a safe trick-or-treat in the Theatre District. Mesa Riverview.
