Southwestern Thanksgiving: Desserts

By , About.com Guide

My Rating System: I have rated each recipe in this feature by how easy it looks to make. That includes finding the ingredients, understanding the instructions, and preparation. The scale is from one to four, one being the easiest looking recipe and four being pretty complicated. Remember, I haven't made these recipes; I'm hoping that you do and let me know how they were!

Peach and Berries Cobbler From Z'Tejas
How Easy Does This Southwest Recipe Look: 1
Fruit desserts are very popular during the holidays. Instead of that store bought apple pie, why not try this easy cobbler recipe to top off your Southwestern feast? If you own a bowl and have an oven, you can do this!

Chocolate Bread Pudding From Tarbell's
How Easy Does This Southwest Recipe Look: 2
The ingredients are all easy to find. The only thing that might be tough about this recipe is the use of the double boiler. Yes, I do own one but I don't think I've ever used it. If you love bittersweet chocolate (it's my favorite) this sounds like it could be a relatively simple yet glorious dessert.

Fairytale Brownies Peanut Butter Pie From Fairytale Brownies
How Easy Does This Southwest Recipe Look: 2
Any recipe that includes Fairytale Brownies has to be good. I have to admit that I glaze over whenever a recipe calls for me to make glaze, but this one looks pretty painless.

Mexican Meringue Cookies From AJ's Fine Foods
How Easy Does This Southwest Recipe Look: 3
If you have a food processor and a mixer, this shouldn't be too difficult. These would be a great addition to any office party!
