The Tempe Festival of the Arts is one of the the oldest and biggest in the Valley. Encompassing nearly five city blocks, the Tempe Festival of the Arts is staged between 3rd Street and University on Mill Avenue. That means that traffic will not flow around the area in the usual fashion. While many of the streets along Mill Avenue will be closed to through traffic, more than 5,000 public parking spaces will be available in the Mill Avenue District, along with park and ride options offering more than 300 additional spaces.
Downtown Tempe Street Closures
The following streets will are closed sometime after 6 p.m. on Thursday:- 7th Street, from Myrtle Avenue to Maple Avenue. Access from Myrtle to Mill Avenue will be limited to local traffic only.
- 6th Street, from Myrtle Avenue to Maple Avenue
- 4th Street, from Mill Avenue to Maple Avenue
- Maple Avenue, from 4th Street to 7th Street
- Mill Avenue, from University Drive to 3rd Street
- 5th Street, from Myrtle Avenue to Ash Avenue
Downtown Tempe Parking Validations

ADA Reserved Parking is available at the surface lot on the east side of City Hall at 5th Street and Myrtle Avenue. ADA Reserved Parking also is available at the U.S. Airways Garage on the northeast corner of 3rd Street and Ash Avenue on Saturday and Sunday.Free Parking in Downtown Tempe
There is free parking at Rio Salado Parkway and Hardy Drive, just east of Priest Drive on the north side of Rio Salado Parkway.Free Tempe Festival of the Arts Shuttle
The free shuttle runs every 15 minutes, making a loop from the free parking area at Rio Salado and Hardy to the 3rd Street and Mill Avenue entrance of the Tempe Festival of the Arts, and the Rio Salado and Ash vicinity of the Tempe Music Festival. The shuttle operates from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. all three days of the Festival (Friday through Sunday).Pay Parking Lots For Tempe Festival of the Arts
