Two holiday happenings will help Scottsdale residents kick off this year's holiday season in style, and keep that spirit through the end of the year!

Scottsdale Holiday Harmony Celebration
Wear your mittens and scarves for the "snow" starting at 3:30 p.m. There will be arts and crafts for all ages, entertainment, games and activities, and a visit with Santa. A tree lighting ceremony will take place at 6:20 p.m. followed by a fireworks display. Photos with Santa will be available for $2 with proceeds benefiting the Scottsdale International Club dance group. McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park Holiday Lights
Take a train ride through more than 100,000 lights and featuring a variety of holiday displays turning the Railroad Park into a winter wonderland. Opening night festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. and includes a tree lighting ceremony, entertainment and a visit from Santa. Santa will be at the park through December 23rd. Train rides are $2 and carousel rides are $1 each with children under three riding free with a paying adult. The park is located at 7301 E. Indian Bend Road.In 2008: December 12 - January 3 (excluding Dec. 24, 25, 31) from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
