AK-Chin Indian Community

Location: Central Arizona, about 58 miles south of Phoenix in the northwestern part of Pinal County.
Population: The AK-Chin Indian Community has 575 members with a median age of 22.9 years.
Size of Reservation: 22,000 acres, which is primarily used for agriculture.
Attractions and Gaming: Him-Dak Museum, Casa Grande Ruins Monument (one hour drive) and Harrah’s Phoenix AK-Chin Casino
Interesting Facts: AK-Chin are comprised of the both Tohono O’odham and Pima people. The AK-Chin Indian Community was created in May 1912.
