Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen

Comments About Pappadeaux Submitted by About Phoenix Visitors

People just have to let me know. They go to a restaurant in the greater Phoenix area, and they either loved it or hated it--there's not much in between! I created these pages so that you, the visitors to About Phoenix, could have your say. As for the rating, one star is the worst, five stars is the best.

Now, a word of warning--every once in a while I'll get a review from someone who has a specific agenda in mind. A really bad review might be from a disgruntled employee. A really good review might be from the owner or manager. Whatever! It's all for fun!

(Colorado) My brother and I decided to go to dinner at papadeaux last night at around 9:00. I usually love this restuarant the food is excellent! We must have caught them on a bad night because we recieved the WORST service i've ever had. The waiter was totally unattentive and unprofessional we didn't even get a hello or a have a good night thanks for coming in. It also took 17 minutes to get marinara sauce we had to ask another waiter. I felt rushed in and out. For the price we payed for dinner and the lousy service i'm seriously considering if i ever want to go back.

We first became acquainted with Pappadeux on vacation in Chicago, we loved it and asked when they would open in AZ. We were pleased to hear they are in Phoenix and have since made to trips up there just to go to Pappadeux. Terrific fried oysters (probably the only place in AZ!) Great, attentive service. Reasonable prices.

Pappadeaux (Phoenix, AZ) is excellent! A colleague and I were there on business in October 2006. We where looking for a restaurant along the freeway and we passed Papadeaux and decided to try it. Our server was attentive and fun and the crab cakes are to die for especially the sauce. I am still trying to Google the recipe, no luck! I had Steak and Lobster and when my plate came, well it was a “platter of food” not a plate; you will definitely need a doggie-bag. Anyway, do appetizers, dinner and desert. Top it off with a Sambuca (they do not have Ouzo) and you’ll have yourself quite an experience. For two, make sure you have about $130 (incls tip; less if you don’t have S/L). Give it a try when in Phoenix it’s worth the $$.

Our first time dinner at PAPPADEAUX SEAFOOD KITCHEN on 07/17/06. OUTSTANDING. Great service, did not have to waite long for the meals. Food was top quality, tasted great and hot. Not luke warm like other resturants.Tables, bathrooms and floors very clean. Each employee showed true professionalism and took care of us in whatever we needed. The atmosphere was great and enjoyable. We will go again and again.

Pappa Deaux used to be great. It was our hangout. Music and food. It has gone downhill in the last few months. We went in August for my birthday. No crabfingers, no mahimahi, and NO CHOCOLATE CAKE OF ANY KIND! The calimari was good but 1/2 the size it used to be. We probabaly wont be back unless someone wakes up over there.

the customer service was horrible. the hostess was terrible i watched her except money from someone who was there 20 minutes after me for a bribe to be seated first. when i finally got seated my server my sexual inuendos towards my wife and i found that very inapropriate with my kids at the table. i would have to say it is one of the worst restaurants in phoenix.

(Houston location) Man, The food was Great!!I'm from Richmond,VA and my friend is from New York City, NY. We were in Texas for data base training and bored to death. On our last night the hotel recommended the Pappadeaux. What a life saver. It was the best part of the trip. The Gumbo was the best I have ever eaten, the staff was amazing, managers Heather & Landon were great, the service was on point (no attitude) and all the seafood was delicious (the Lobster to the Mix Grill). It was so good! I went back before my flight for lunch (had to have more gumbo). I use to own a seafood restaurant, I travel all over. This was a great experience all around! I know seafood. Too bad there is not one in or near Richmond, VA. Trust me it would make money hand over fist!

One of my favorite places to visit is New Orleans, because of the wonderful ambiance and food. I traveled to Phoenix and found a little bit of Cajun heaven at Pappadeaux. The seafood gumbo was spectacular. The waiter so upbeat and attentive. The courtyard welcomed you to sit and stay a while. Wish I were there right now....
