You can obtain more information on any licensed pool builder in Arizona by visiting the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. According to their Web site, "Our mission is to promote quality construction by Arizona contractors through a licensing and regulatory system designed to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public." At that site you can search by license number or name to find information relative to the number of complaints received by the Registrar of Contractors and how/if those complaints were resolved.
The comments quoted here from the Phoenix Better Business Bureau were accurate as of April 2003. For updated information, visit the Central/Northern Arizona Better Business Bureau Web site.
Are large pool builders the best pool builders? That's up to you and your research to determine. There are plenty of other pool builders in the greater Phoenix area. One way to find them is to go to the phone directory. No matter what the size of the company that you contract to build your pool, you should still check to see if they are members of the Better Business Bureau and that they are licensed contractors.
