La Hacienda - The Mood
La Hacienda is a charming restaurant located at the Fairmont
Scottsdale Princess. Spanish architecture, warm colors, and
comfortable arrangements of tables make La Hacienda highly recommended
for a romantic occasion, date or business dinner to impress.
La Hacienda - The Damages
Prices at La Hacienda are very reasonable for an upscale dining
experience. Two of us ordered two appetizers, two entrees and two
desserts. Excluding beverages, tax and tip the total came to $100. A
flaming coffee with liqueur was $10. Entrees range from $18 to $31.
There is a separate Margarita menu with most of them offered in the
$10 to $12 range.

My Review of La Hacienda
Dining at La Hacienda is a relaxing and delightful experience. The restaurant is lovely and warm, unlike many hotel restaurants. It is casual, but still upscale, sophisticated, but without being pretentious. And the food? Every single dish we ordered at La Hacienda was a delight. While the menu might be described as Mexican, and there are items like tacos and enchiladas on the menu, don't expect the kind of Mexican food served at the many chains around town. This is fine dining. The Guacamole ($11) is a standard favorite here for enjoying while perusing the menu and wine list or tequila menu. We shared an appetizer of Pork Carnitas Sopes ($9.50). For entrees, we ordered the Costilla de Res ($28) which is a braised short rib with crema fresca potato puree and chile habanero guava sauce, and the Filet a la Parilla ($31), a beef tenderloin atop oaxaca cheese enchiladas. No additional sides are necessary, as these dishes come complete. Although I enjoy spicy food, never fear if you do not. Chef prepares these dishes with wonderful flavors of the Southwest, without the burn.
Churros ($9) are very sweet Mexican donuts and are presented with three dipping sauces, and made an appropriate accompaniment for my flaming Cafe Keoki.
I can definitely recommend every dish we tried at this visit! La Hacienda has only one location in Arizona. It is open Tuesday through Sunday, for dinner only.
