press release with the information about this year's Miss Arizona Pageant:

Miss Arizona
Scholarship Pageant
to be held June 27-29
Eighteen outstanding
young women will compete for the title of Miss Arizona and $100,000 in
cash and tuition scholarships during the 2002 Miss Arizona Scholarship
Pageant, presented by Forever
Living Products, International, June 27-29 at Mesquite High School, 500
South McQueen Road in Gilbert, Arizona. Preliminary
competitions will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday with the final
competition beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The new Miss Arizona will compete in the Miss America Pageant held
in Atlantic City in September.
Contestants are winners
of local pageants held in communities throughout Arizona.
Contestants will compete in three phases of competition each
evening, including swim wear, talent and evening wear.
The personal interview phase will be held earlier in the day with
the panel of judges.
Contestants will also discuss their community service activities as
well as their service with the Governors Division for the Prevention of
Family Violence.
Master
of ceremonies for the preliminary competitions will be Leean Hendrix, Miss
Arizona 1998. The Saturday night
final competition will be hosted by Tara Dawn Holland, Miss America
1997.

are available by calling Bryant Tickets at 480-236-4958.
Ticket prices are $20 for Thursday and Friday night preliminaries
and $35 and $25 for the Saturday night final.
Special packages for all three nights are offered.
Credit cards are welcomed.
