Written by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan, this show will take you back to the days of the traditional catholic schools. Well, maybe not that traditional! Whether or not you are Catholic, you, as a member of the audience, will become a student in a hilarious adult catechism class. Late Nite Catechism is a sharp satire, but never mean. It is simply an evening of fun and laughter.
Read my review of Late Nite Catechism at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. Late Nite Catechism began its run at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts in June 2000. Late Nite Catechism was the first off-Broadway show to appear in extended runs all over the United States, originally as a fundraiser for many worthwhile organizations across the country. The show promises to provide lots of smiles and an evening of hilarious entertainment. The longest-running theatrical production in Arizona, Late Nite Catechism has been an audience favorite at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts. It was joined by the shows sequel, Late Nite Catechism II: Sometimes We Feel Guilty Because We Are Guilty, in March 2004. Both shows are performed weekly in the intimate Stage 2 theater. During the holiday season, the two shows take a break while Sister's Christmas Catechism: The Mystery of the Magis Gold takes over.
