The Independence Day celebration in Ahwatukee is hosted by the Ahwatukee Foothills Chamber of Commerce. Ahwatukee is one of the urban villages of Phoenix, and is located in the south part of the city.

Where is the Ahwatukee Independence Day Celebration?

Red, White and Boom will take place at Ahwatukee Country Club, 12432 S. 48th Street, just north of Warner Road. Enter at Country Club 48th Street entrance only.

When is Red, White and Boom?

Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

What will happen?

Games, face painting, water park kid zone, hot dog eating competition, Ahwatukee Idol with the Ahwatukee Children’s Theater. Casey Lee Smith, an Arizona native and rising teen star, will perform from 3-5 p.m. Live entertainment provided by Radio Disney Rockin’ Road Show from 6-9 p.m. with music, interactive games and prizes. Fireworks begin at about 9 p.m.

What does it cost?

Free admission.

What else do I need to know?

No coolers, beverages or food will be allowed into the Country Club area. Bottled water will be allowed. Food and beverages will available to purchase; more than 40 local vendors will participate. No pets.

Come early to park. 48th Street from Warner to Elliot will be closed starting at 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. There will be restricted access to residents only.
