Gilbert Fireworks for July 4th - 2012

4th of July festivities in Gilbert are coordinated between the Central Christian Church and the Town of Gilbert. Gilbert is a growing, mostly residential community southeast of Phoenix in the East Valley.

Where is the Gilbert Fire in the Sky Celebration?

There are three viewing locations for the fireworks. Central Christian Church’s Gilbert Campus, Campo Verde High School (northwest corner of Germann and Quartz, just west of Val Vista) and the Gilbert Soccer Complex (southwest corner of Germann & Greenfield).

When is it?

Wednesday, July 4, 2012 starting at 6 p.m.

What will happen?

Fire in the Sky will launch from Central’s Gilbert campus on the southeast corner of Lindsay and Germann Road. At this location there will be music and some concessions. Bring chairs, blankets and food.

They will be collecting food for the Central food pantry and the United Food Bank to help eliminate hunger in our neighborhoods. In 2011 94,000 pounds of food were donated. In 2012, the goal is 25 pounds of food for every family in attendance.

What does it cost?

There is no admission charge. Parking is free. The two alternate viewing areas, Campo Verde High School (parking lot, no grass) and the Gilbert Soccer Complex (soccer fields) have no concessions. No consumer fireworks or alcohol are permitted at any location. You may bring chairs, blankets, cold drinks and picnic. Water and bomb pops will be sold for only $1 each.

What else do I need to know?

Fireworks are scheduled to begin at about 8:30 p.m.
