Surprise, Arizona is a fast-growing residential community in the northwest part of the Valley of the Sun. The Surprise Recreation Campus, which includes Surprise Stadium, hosts several big events throughout the year.

At the Surprise Recreation Campus located at 15850 N. Bullard Avenue, about two miles west of Grand Avenue between Bell and Greenway roads. Here's a map and directions to Surprise Stadium, which is in the same complex.
When is it?
Friday, July 4, 2014 from 4:30 p.m. to about 8:45 p.m.
What will happen?
Watch a Rookie League Baseball Game featuring the Texas Rangers playing the Cleveland Indians. Gates open at 4:30 p.m., with the game starting at 5:30 p.m. The evening culminates with a 20-minute fireworks show set to patriotic music following the baseball game at approximately 8:30 p.m.
What does it cost?
Free admission with a donation of a canned food item. Space is limited to 10,000 people and tickets are required for admission. Surprise residents are encouraged to pick up their tickets (maximum 6 per family) in advance at the Community & Recreation Services Office located at 15960 N. Bullard Avenue. Parking at the event is free.
What else do I need to know?
Concession stands will offer a variety of food and ice cold beverages. No coolers or outside food permitted inside the ballpark.
