Where is the Surprise July 4th Celebration?

At the Surprise Recreation Campus located at 15850 N. Bullard Avenue, about two miles west of Grand Avenue between Bell and Greenway roads. Here's a map and directions to Surprise Stadium, which is in the same complex.

Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from 4:30 p.m. to about 8:45 p.m.

What will happen at Surprise's Annual July 4th Celebration?

Watch a Rookie League Baseball Game featuring the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Gates open at 4:30 p.m., with the game starting at 5:30. The evening culminates with a 20-minute firework show set to patriotic music following the baseball game at approximately 8:30 p.m.

What does it cost?

Free admission with a donation of a canned food item. Space is limited and tickets are required for admission. Surprise residents are encouraged to pick up their tickets (maximum 6 per family) in advance at the Community & Recreation Services Office located at 15960 N. Bullard Avenue. Parking at the event is free.

Concession stands will offer a variety of food and ice cold beverages including $1 peanuts and popcorn; $2 hot dogs and soft drinks.
