The Thunderbird Balloon Classic has been held in Glendale and in Scottsdale, but in 2006 it moved to Goodyear, in the southwest part of the Valley of the Sun. No matter what it's called, and where it is located, it's the biggest balloon festival in Arizona, and the largest Balloon and Air show combination in the Southwest.
