Opened in 1975, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts showcases an array of arts and cultural programming. Approximately 200 performances, festivals, and events are showcased annually. Performances take place in the 838-seat Virginia G. Piper Theater and the 136-seat Stage 2 Theater, the 2,200-seat amphitheater on the grounds of the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall, and the 326-seat Theater 4301 @ Galleria Corporate Centre. Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts offers multi-disciplinary performance experiences, including classical and world music, contemporary dance, jazz, comedy and theater, children's programs and arts festivals.
