The Great American BBQ & Beer Festival is not just another barbecue competition. It is a family festival in the streets of downtown Chandler where you can listen to music, have fun and enjoy great food and beer. About 100 exhibitors are expected to participate, including nearly 30 BBQ vendors from across Arizona serving up more than 20,000 lbs of pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket and chicken. To wash it all down, more than 200 kegs of ice cold craft beer will be on hand at the Great American Barbeque & Beer Festival. Twelve bands will perform on two stages. Event proceeds benefit the Downtown Chandler Community Foundation.
When is The Great American BBQ & Beer Festival?Saturday, March 23, 2013 from noon to 10 p.m.

How do I get tickets and how much are they?There is a $10 admission charge, with children under 12 admitted free. Admission tickets may be purchased online or at the gate. Restaurants will be offering samples and tastings on a cash basis. Many will offer mini BBQ plates as well.
Are discounts available?Check local Bashas' stores in February; they may offer tickets at a discount while supplies last.
What else should I know?About 5,000 people are expected to attend. Aside from barbecue and beer, there will be two national headlining bands, Smash Mouth and Hoobastank, and a local performance stage. There is a Kids' Zone (some activities in the Kids' Zone Have an extra charge).
