What else should I know about the Great Arizona Picnic?

The Great Arizona Picnic is one event out of several that comprise the Scottsdale Culinary Festival. The Scottsdale Culinary Festival events take place over a period of about a week. The activities that most of the public are interested in are the outdoors, weekend casual events. Those are The Great Arizona Picnic held in conjunction with the Southwest Festival of Beers. Cooks & Corks, which includes wine tastings, chef's demos, food samplings and wine seminars is also held at the same time as The Great Arizona Picnic. It is a more expensive ticket, but includes the charge for the Picnic.

There are two stages as well as music in the Beer Garden. Live music at The Great Arizona Picnic and at the Southwest Festival of Beers starts at noon. You can see the entire schedule on the next page.

People attending the The Great Arizona Picnic on Sunday will also be able to witness the Challenge to the Chefs, where four chefs are each presented with identical "mystery baskets" of ingredients and must create an appetizer and an entrée out of it. The Absolut Bistro and Garduños Margarita Village will also be available, for an additional charge.
