Where is it?
The jazz festival takes place outdoors at Arizona Grand Resort & Spa. That's in Phoenix near I-10 and Baseline. The address is 8000 S. Arizona Grand Parkway. Parking will be provided offsite.
How do I get tickets and how much are they?
Tickets are available in advance online. Tickets start at $50 (plus fees) for single day General Admission. Various ticket packages are offered. You may also purchase tickets at the door.
Are discounts to the Arizona Jazz Festival available?
Not that I know of.
I am coming in from out of town. Where should I stay?
If you can, staying at Arizona Grand Resort & Spa is the most convenient so you can take breaks from the event and head to your room for a while. Concert packages are offered for each festival, but they usually sell out. Check here for reservations at Arizona Grand Resort that don't involve a special package. Otherwise, you can check at nearby hotels in Tempe. Downtown Phoenix hotels are not far way.
Arizona Grand Resort & Spa is about 7 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. The METRO Light Rail system does not go to this resort.
What else should I know?
No lawn seating, no chairs permitted. No pets allowed. No cameras with removable lenses. This is an adult environment; there are no children's activities here. VIP seating packages, including pit seats, are offered. This concert takes place outdoors, so make sure that during the day you bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Umbrellas are not permitted. You might need a jacket in the evening. This is a rain or shine event. See my tips on the next page relative to weather.
There are two separately ticketed events being held in conjunction with the festival. Saturday night: All-Star Jam; Sunday morning: Gospel Sunday Brunch.
