More than 25 BBQ vendors will be cooking at The Arizona Barbecue Festival. It is a day filled with food and fun. This year, festival attendees will be able to participate in Redneck games!

When is the Arizona Barbecue Festival?

Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Where is the Arizona Barbecue Festival?

At Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. This map will get you there. Parking is free.

How do I get tickets and how much are they?

Tickets are $12 each, children under 12 are admitted free. BBQ vendors will be offering samples for $2 each, as well as sandwiches and full meals at varying prices.

Are discounts to the Arizona Barbecue Festival available?

Not that I know of.

What else should I know about the Arizona Barbecue Festival?

This year's festival is not only about BBQ, it's also about participating in games that, well, don't necessarily require a whole lot of athleticism or experience (or even an average IQ). Redneck Games are scheduled to include:
  • Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest
  • Dead Lawn Mower Races
  • Beer Pong Tournament
  • Arm Wrestling
  • Hub Cap Hurling Challenge
  • Bobbing for Pigs Feet
  • Pie Eating Contest
  • Horseshoe Tournament (with toilet seats)
  • Redneckiest Tattoo Contest
  • “Rock Out With Your Dentures Out” Eating Challenge
  • Mullet Beauty Pageant
  • PDaisy Dukes & Cowboy Boots Pageant
  • Best ‘Stache Contest
Registration forms for the events will be available online, and space is limited for each competition. Any available spots will be offered at the event. There is no charge to compete. Nondrinking games are for ages 18+, drinking games for 21+.

In addition to Redneck Games, there will be bands performing, cooking demos, a Kids Zone, vodka tasting, bartender challenge and vendors. Some activities have an extra charge.

Do you have pictures?
