UPDATE FEBRUARY 2009: The web site and phone number for Arizona Ducks are not operational. I assume they are no longer in business.

As you can see by the photo, if the driver sees a chance to have some fun with this DUKW, he'll do it!

Ten Duck Tour Tips

  1. In order to get to Arizona Ducks, you have to pay the Pleasant Harbor entrance fee. It is not included in the cost of your tour.
  2. Leave an extra 10 minutes to walk from the marina parking lot and visit the restrooms before your tour.
  3. You can purchase bottled water at Arizona Ducks if it is available. You can bring your own water.
  4. If the weather is hot, Arizona Ducks has some spray bottles of water for your use.
  5. The Arizona Ducks tour is not handicapped accessible. You have to be able to at least walk on your own power, although they will assist those who need it to get up the metal steps and into the vehicle.
  6. Children under 12 must wear a life vest (provided) during the parts of the tour on water.
  7. Arizona Ducks runs some tours in the summer, even in triple digit heat. Most of the seats on the vehicle get shade from the cover. Wear a hat and sunscreen anyway.
  8. There's not much leg room at most of the seats in the vehicle, so if you have long legs, I'd opt for one of the four rear seats, even though they are in the sun.
  9. Bring cash with you to tip the driver and/or tour guide. If you are offered a shuttle ride from the parking lot, a buck or two might be in order for the shuttle driver, too.
  10. On weekdays and in the winter, Lake Pleasant is not all that crowded, but on summer weekends you'd better leave plenty of time to get there and the lake will be crowded.
