More about 3UG (Three Ugly Guys):
Most musicians release their first album and struggle for months, if not years, before they land their first legitimate gig. 3UG (Three Ugly Guys) are, without a doubt, an exception to the rule. Following the 2007 release of their full-length, all-original, 11-song debut album, The Pursuit of Uglyness, this jam band instantly received outstanding recognition in the Valley’s music scene. With a unique style of music that blends rock, jazz, and funk, in only a few short months 3UG was awarded Mix 96.9 FM’s “Rockstar Champions” title and opened for Hootie and the Blowfish at the Jobing.com Arena. Their extensive event roster already includes PF Chang’s Rock n Roll Marathon, the Insight Fiesta Bowl Block Party in Tempe, 3UG Unplugged at Matchstix in Chandler and the Club Cupid Music Festival in Tempe. They have also performed at countless venues across the Valley, including Sugar Daddy’s, Last Exit, The Library, Martini Ranch, Red Owl,US Airways Center, and at the Circle K Tempe Music Festival. Their CD, The Pursuit of Uglyness and other 3UG gear is available online at 3UG-online.com. A portion of the proceeds from CD sales will be donated to 100 Club Arizona, a local nonprofit providing financial assistance to families of public safety officers and firefighters killed in the line-of-duty.
