More about Phunkie Phlowas:
Phunkie Phlowas was born amidst the desolate landscape of the Midwest during the summer of 1995. Metal was at the height of a rebirth due to bands like Korn, Sepultura and the Limpity Limp having some much needed commercial success. A local St. Joseph, MO band was sharing in the success of their multimillion dollar counterparts by renting a pink garage and blasting metal at all hours of the night. Little did they know a legend was about to be born. A man known by no other name than Clark approached metal frontman Isaac Khan while playing air guitar onstage at a local park and this is what he said. ----Do you want to get funky? ----Do you want to rhyme with me? - The Phlowas were born. - The Pink garage was a garden. - The Metal band died. - The Phlowas grew. - Clark died. - Two sprouted in his place... Mr. Ben Begonia and Mr. Eric "I can't think of a flower that starts with E" Heartley. The Phlowas relocated to New York and met David Daffodil who collaborated on many of the songs. Then they anti-relocated to Missouri and played many sold out shows at the Golf Club. Next they relocated to Tempe, AZ, recorded an album, recorded a second album with the same title, toured the world, and went on vacation for the last 5 years. When asking Phlowa Isaac Khan whether we might see a return of the Phunkies he had this to say: We have done it all, there is not much left to do... But, our new album will be out May 1st, 2007
