It all started in Tucson, Arizona in 1989 as the Copper Bowl. The Copper Bowl became the Insight.com Bowl when Insight Enterprises inked a deal to be title sponsor of the game, and in 2002 the name was changed to the Insight Bowl. After 2011 the name of the bowl game was changed again, to the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. In 2014 the bowl game gets another new moniker: it's the Cactus Bowl.
The 26th Annual Cactus Bowl will be played on Frank Kush Field at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.
When is the Cactus Bowl?
It will be played on Friday, January 2, 2015. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. Arizona time.
Will it be televised?

How do I get to Sun Devil Stadium?
Here is a map and directions to Sun Devil Stadium at Arizona State University, including METRO light rail information. Leave plenty of time -- there are bound to be large crowds. Check for restrictions and parking information before you drive. For the Cactus Bowl, METRO Light Rail will run regular service with additional trains to support pre- and post-event crowds.
The Arizona Department of Transportation usually provides detailed motorist information, including any travel or road restrictions, for this event. Call 5-1-1, then *7. The call is free.
Who is playing this year?
The Cactus Bowl matches the sixth selection from the Pac-12 Conference against the fifth pick from the Big 12 Conference, after selections by the College Football Playoff.

If you are just coming in for the game and related festivities, you'll probably want to stay at a hotel in downtown Tempe or at a hotel on the METRO light rail line. If you are driving, a hotel in downtown Scottsdale would be close, too.
