On the 4th of July -- or any summer day -- this special recipe for a Francesca Fresca from Mia Francesca Italian restaurant in Scottsdale will make a refreshing treat for the adults at your gathering.
Yield: One cocktail
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz. Patron Silver Tequila
- .75 oz. Cointreau
- .25 oz. Raspberry Puree
- .25 oz. Fresh orange juice
- .5 oz. simple syrup
- 1 oz. Fresh lime juice
- 3 basil leaves
Preparation:
1. Use a Double Old Fashioned/Rocks glass.
2. Slap Basil and drop in shaker.
3. Build all other ingredients, add ice and hard shake for 10 seconds.
4. Strain over fresh ice in glass
5. Garnish with one spanked basil leaf + lime wheel
