Credit Unions

Almost anyone can find a credit union now for which they are eligible for membership. There may be some advantages to having your financial needs met by a credit union over a bank.

Arizona Central Credit Union

Almost no requirements for membership, with 62,000 members nationwide.

Arizona Federal Credit Union

Arizona's second largest credit union. Fifteen branches.

Arizona State Savings and Credit Union

"Serving the State of Arizona, University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, American Express, residents of Yavapai, Graham, & Greenlee Counties, associations, families & friends since 1951."

Credit Union West

"Serves all persons who live, work or worship in Western Maricopa County, including our Air Force family members."  Has 35,000 members.

Desert Schools Federal Credit Union

Fifteen branches and 185,000 members.

First Credit Union

First Credit Union traces its inception to 1929. There are thirteen branches in Arizona. The corporate office is in Tempe.

Salt River Project Credit Union

Four branches in Arizona and 20,000 members.

SunWest Federal Credit Union

Five branch locations in the Valley: two in Phoenix, one in Scottsdale, one in Mesa, one in Goodyear. Also has two branches in Tucson.

Tempe Schools Credit Union

"Open to all students, education employees and Select Employee Groups in Maricopa County, Arizona and family members of the above. This includes students or employees of: public or private schools, primary or secondary schools, junior colleges or universities, trade or vocational schools."

TruWest

Originally Motorola Creit Union. We "provide employees of Motorola, General Dynamics, ON Semiconductor and Compass Foodworks in the Phoenix and Austin areas with a convenient way to obtain cash, borrow money, and save."
