Summer is the prime season for big music festivals all over the country. Are there any summer concerts in the Phoenix area? An outdoor music festival in July or August would result in high demand for paramedics to take care of all the people who would suffer from heat exhaustion in 110°+ temperatures!

Even so, we have more than enough cool indoor venues to support the hottest bands and tours in the country. Even though the temperatures soar in the summer in Phoenix, there is one venue, the Ashley Furniture Homestore Pavilion (formerly known as the Cricket Wireless Pavilion) that is outdoors, with both reserved seats and grass. Be advised that it doesn't cool down much at night in Phoenix, but they use misters there. At the other locations you'll be inside in air-conditioned comfort. The down side is that you won't be sprawled out on the grass, and you'll have to wear a shirt and shoes!

Tickets for some of these bands sell out quickly. If you can't find the tickets you want through the venue's usual ticket seller, you can try a reputable ticket broker like TicketsNow.com (Buy Direct). Buying from another source? Beware of fake tickets!

Here's what's happening in June, July and August in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
