Quite a few restaurants in the Greater Phoenix area are open on Christmas Day serving prix fixe special menus, buffet brunches and other variations on specialty dining for this popular holiday. A four-course meal. Menu items for this festive holiday feast range from Wild Mushroom Bisque with Foie Gras & Pistachio Gougére to Vodka Cured Salmon, Caramelized Pear Salad with Blue Cheese, Bacon Braised Red Cabbage and Herb Pecans, Roasted Sea Bass with Leek & Lobster Hash, Fingerling Potatoes and Green Onion Pesto, Herb Roasted Guinea Hen with Cauliflower Puree, Pickled Winter Greens and Cipollini Onion Jus topped off with desserts including Chocolate Caramel Turtle Bar and “Ginger Bread” Bread Pudding with Eggnog Gelato and Peppermint Brandy Cream.

Frank And Albert’s: Three-course Christmas Day Menu. First Course: choice Of Gingered Squash Soup or Crisp Romaine Wedge. Second Course: Roasted Pork Rib Eye, Pecan Pesto, Candied Sweet Potatoes, Toasted Marshmallow, Brown Sugar, Almondine Green Beans. Third Course: Chocolate Pecan Pie, Dark Chocolate, Flaky Crust, Cinnamon Spiced Whipped Cream.

A traditional Christmas Day Brunch. Seatings are between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Cost is $95 per adult; children 3-12 years of age half-price. Carving stations, breakfast classics, pasta/risotto, desserts, etc. -- will be featured. Reservations are required. The Christmas Day Dinner in Il Terrazzo will be three courses, with seatings between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Serving a classic Christmas dinner, offering a la carte or a prix fixe menu. The menu includes starters of kabocha squash soup or an organic baby beet salad followed by mouthwatering entrée choices featuring applewood smoked turkey breast, sea salt and herb dusted prime rib or Bristol Bay sockeye salmon. Side dishes include Yukon Gold potato puree, brussels sprouts, roasted butternut squash and stone ground cornmeal stuffing. Complete the holiday meal with a tasting trio of caraibe dark chocolate Bavarian, Tahitian vanilla bean bread pudding and huckleberry compote eggnog pot de crème. Offered from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
