Everyone becomes just a little Irish on St. Patrick's Day. In mid-March we have St. Patrick's Day parades, St. Patrick's Day runs, and other events for going green and Irish in mid-March.

The Parade has marching bands, Irish step dancers, bagpipers, police and fire vehicles, government dignitaries, floats, and the Arizona Irish Colleen with her Court. After the parade, the festival begins. Central Phoenix.

Flogging Molly appears in Arizona for the St. Patrick's Day concert at Tempe Beach Park

On March 15 and 16, 2014 you can “Experience Ireland” at MIM, the Musical Instrument Museum
in North Phoenix. It will be two days of Celtic-inspired fun including adorable kids performing Irish dance, a Celtic harp ensemble, pub games (team trivia), storytellers, and the chance to create and decorate a bodhran (a type of drum). Celtic-inspired face painting and a photo booth with costumes and props will add to the family fun. Café Allegro will offer Irish chicken and cream soup with potatoes and leeks; roasted Irish wild salmon marinated in Irish whiskey and honey; Irish stout-lamb stew with potatoes, carrots and parsley; and chocolate and orange Guinness cake. Performances and activities (not food) are included with paid museum admission.

Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Westgate Entertainment District
in Glendale, Arizona. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a 17K, 8K run or 4K, with an "Irish"k for kids and leashed pets. Live Irish music, costume prizes, chocolate kisses for all finishers and a beverage compliments of McFadden's. 7 a.m. start. The Prostate On Site Project will be at the event from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. offering free prostate cancer screenings to the first 50 men to schedule an appointment at 480-964-3013.
