Plan to be at Fountain Park in Fountain Hills on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2014, to renew your vows or witness what might to be the largest vow renewal ceremony in the world. More than 1,000 couples are expected to participate. Couples wishing to renew their vows must register. Participation is free. All registered couples will receive a commemorative certificate and be eligible for prizes. Check in from 4 to 4:30 p.m., prizes and giveaways at 5 p.m., nondenominational ceremony at 5:15 p.m. Fountain Park Amphitheater in Fountain Hills. Last year more than 764 couples participated in this massive renewal ceremony. The Guinness Book of World Records states that the largest vow renewal ceremony was achieved by 1,087 couples at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, USA, on 20 June 2009. Thirty restaurants, thirty wineries and thirty craft breweries expected to participate in the inaugural Taste In Tempe on February 9, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Tempe Center for the Arts Amphitheater in downtown Tempe. Walk along the lakefront for a romantic-themed afternoon of food, music and celebration. Wine purveyors and craft breweries will have samples. Wine seminars, celebrity chef demonstrations, live music and entertainment. Taste In Tempe also delivers a “love and romance” themed shopping experience offering jewelry, luxury goods, flowers, chocolates, pastries and more. Tickets include food, wine and craft beer sampling, wine seminars, cooking demonstrations, parking, entertainment and a chance to win the $20K Giveaway with a grand prize of $20,000 (enter before 2:30 pm). Tickets are $59 in advance; $69 at the door.

The Pleasure Feast at the Arizona Renaissance Festival

The Pleasure Feast, served by wenches and tavern knaves at the Arizona Renaissance Festival, includes a five-course meal along with 1-1/2 hours of raucous Renaissance entertainment.
